Complete guide to how each competition type works, scoring systems, and fair play policies

Super 8

Predict the final scores of 8 matches to accumulate points.

How to Play

Predict the final scores for all 8 matches
Highest total points across all matches wins
Ties are broken by lowest score difference (sum of actual vs predicted total goals per match)
If still tied: pot-based competitions split the prize equally — fixed-prize competitions use a random draw

Scoring System

5 pts Exact score prediction
2 pts Correct result + only 1 goal off
1 pt Correct result (win/draw/lose) but wrong score
0 pts Wrong result

Example Scoring

You predict Chelsea 2-1 Arsenal. Actual result: Chelsea 2-1 Arsenal = 5 points (exact score). If actual was Chelsea 3-1 Arsenal = 2 points (correct result, one goal off). If actual was Chelsea 3-0 Arsenal = 1 point (correct result, wrong score). If actual was Chelsea 0-1 Arsenal = 0 points (wrong result).

Tie-Breaker Examples

Scenario: Two users both have 30 points (same points, now check score difference).
Tie-breaker: Score Difference - Sum of the difference between actual and predicted total goals per match.
Actual match result: Chelsea 2-1 Arsenal (3 total goals).
User A predicts: Chelsea 2-2 Arsenal (4 total goals) → 4 - 3 = 1 goal difference
User B predicts: Chelsea 4-0 Arsenal (4 total goals) → 4 - 3 = 1 goal difference
Both have difference of 1 — if this is a pot-based competition, the prize is split equally between them. If the organiser set fixed prizes, a random draw selects the winner.

Important Notes

All results are based on normal time only. Extra time and penalty shootouts do not count

Cancelled/Postponed Matches

If a cancelled match cannot be replaced by a backup, the match is excluded from scoring - you receive 0 points (not penalised)
Winners determined by highest points from remaining matches
For full cancellation policy, see Terms & Conditions

Over the Bar

Predict the exact GAA final score in goals-points format to earn points based on accuracy.

How to Play

Predict the exact final score for each team in goals-points format
Enter score as: Team A Goals-Points vs Team B Goals-Points
Example: Donegal 2-10 vs Kerry 1-12
Points are awarded based on prediction accuracy
Highest total points wins
Ties are broken by lowest score difference
If still tied: pot-based competitions split the prize equally — fixed-prize competitions use a random draw

Scoring System

3 pts Exact match (goals AND points correct for both teams)
2 pts Both teams' total score correct (any goals/points split)
1 pt Correct result (win/draw/lose) only
0 pts Wrong result
Note: Goals = 3 points, Points = 1 point in GAA scoring

Example Scoring

Actual match ends: Donegal 2-10 vs Kerry 1-12. Prediction 2-10 vs 1-12 = 3 points (both exact). Prediction 3-07 vs 2-09 = 2 points (both teams' totals correct: 16 & 15). Prediction 3-15 vs 1-08 = 1 point (Donegal wins, but totals wrong). Prediction 1-08 vs 2-14 = 0 points (predicted Kerry win, Donegal won).

Tie-Breaker Examples

Scenario: Two users both have 1 point (correct result). Match: Donegal 2-10 (16 pts) vs Kerry 1-12 (15 pts) = 31 total points.
User A predicts: Donegal 2-14 (20 pts) vs Kerry 1-12 (15 pts) = 35 total → 35 minus 31 = 4 difference
User B predicts: Donegal 3-08 (17 pts) vs Kerry 2-09 (15 pts) = 32 total → 32 minus 31 = 1 difference
Winner: User B wins (lower score difference is better). If both had the same difference: pot-based competitions split the prize equally — fixed-prize competitions use a random draw.

Important Notes

Enter scores in goals-points format (e.g., 2-10)
Remember: 1 goal = 3 points when calculating totals
Scores are based on the final result as published by the official source. This includes extra time if played. Penalty shootout results do not affect the score

Cancelled/Postponed Matches

Cancelled matches are automatically replaced with the a backup GAA match
If no replacement available, competition falls to a random draw from each entry. This draw is 100% random selection by the system.
For full cancellation policy, see Terms & Conditions

Last Man Standing

Pick a different winning team each week. One wrong pick and you're eliminated!

How to Play

Pick one team to win each round from available fixtures
You cannot pick the same team twice throughout the competition
Your team must win (draws and losses eliminate you)
Deadline for picks is typically 2 hours before first match of the round

Elimination & Prizes

One wrong pick eliminates you from the competition
If a match is abandoned, cancelled or postponed you get a bye, and can no longer use that team
Due to technical constraints, if a match is marked as a walkover, technical loss, or suspended, you get a bye, and can no longer use that team
If all remaining players are eliminated in a single round, just those players continue on to the next round
Competition ends when one person remains or after the set number of maximum rounds (options are 8, 10 or 12 rounds)
Any final survivors after the final round split the prize pot equally

Pick Deadline

If you don't submit a pick before the deadline, you're automatically assigned the next available team alphabetically (one you haven't already used); you're only eliminated if no unused team remains
Make sure to check deadlines for each round
All results are based on normal time only. Extra time and penalty shootouts do not count

Golden Goal

Have the exact minute when the first goal will be scored in a football match.

How to Play

You can buy multiple entries
Each entry is assigned 1 random minute from 0–90 (91 possible minutes)
Once all 91 minutes have been assigned, a new batch begins — so the same minute can be held by more than one participant
The entry with the closest minute to when the first goal is scored wins
If only one participant holds the winning minute, they win the full pot
If more than one participant holds the winning minute, the pot is split equally between them
No goal scored: minute 0 wins
Goal in 90th minute or later: minute 90 wins

Pricing & Discounts

One minute costs the base entry fee
Buy multiple entries and save 10% off the total

Example Scenario

Liverpool vs Arsenal, first goal is scored at 23 minutes. If you had minute 23, you win! If you had 22, and you're the closest, you win! If someone else also had 24, you split the pot!

Important Notes

If no goal is scored (0-0 draw), the winning minute is 0
All results are based on normal time only. Extra time and penalty shootouts do not count

Cancelled/Postponed Matches

If the match is cancelled, minutes are transferred to the backup match
If there is no backup match chosen by the organiser, or the backup match is also cancelled, winner is decided by random draw from every entry
For full cancellation policy, see Terms & Conditions

Racing Festival

Pick one horse per race across each day of the festival. Earn points for placed horses and a bonus for big price winners.

How to Play

Select one horse per race for each day of the festival
Submit your picks before each day's first race deadline
Points accumulate across all races and all days
Highest total points at the end of the festival wins
Winners prize is shared if there is a tie

Points System

10 pts 1st place
5 pts 2nd place
3 pts 3rd place
Big price winner bonus: +5 points (horse returned at 10/1 or greater)

Non-Runners

If your selected horse is declared a non-runner, it is automatically replaced
Replacement is the lowest numbered available horse in the same race

Example Scenario

Day 1, Race 1: Your pick wins at 14/1 = 10 pts + 5 big price bonus = 15 pts. Day 1, Race 2: Your pick finishes 2nd = 5 pts. Day 2, Race 1: Your pick finishes 3rd = 3 pts. Running total after 3 races: 23 points. The person with the most points at the end wins!

Important Notes

Day 2 picks only open after all Day 1 races are finished
Picks for each day must be submitted before that day's first race deadline
All results are based on official finishing positions as declared

Perfect Strike

Predict Win/Draw/Win for 10 matches. Get them all right to win or share the rolling jackpot!

How to Play

Pick 10 matches from the available football fixtures
You predict Win/Draw/Win for each match
Get ALL predictions correct to win the jackpot
If no one gets all correct, the jackpot rolls over to the next competition - if run by the organiser)
Consolation Goal, if enabled by organiser, comes into play if the jackpot is not won

Prize Distribution

Custom prize set by organiser (not dependent on pot)
Designed as a rolling jackpot competition
Multiple winners share the jackpot equally

Consolation Goal (Optional)

Organiser can enable an optional Consolation Goal prize
Awarded when NO perfect predictions exist
Goes to the participant(s) with the highest score (most correct predictions)
If multiple participants tie: tie-breaker score used first (Home Win=1, Away Win=2, Draw=3)
If still tied after tie-breaker score: the consolation prize is split equally between all tied players

Example Scenario

A Pick 10 competition with 10 matches selected. You predict Win/Draw/Win for each match. If all 10 of your predictions are correct, you win! If 3 people get all 10 correct, you each get 1/3 of the prize. If no one gets all 10 correct and Consolation Goal is enabled: the person with the most correct predictions wins the consolation prize. If multiple people tie for most correct, tie-breaker score is compared (Home Win=1, Away Win=2, Draw=3). If still tied, the consolation prize is split equally between all tied players.

Important Notes

Perfect Strike is all-or-nothing: you must get ALL predictions correct to win the jackpot
Multiple perfect winners share the jackpot equally - no tie-breaker for perfect scores
Consolation Goal uses tie-breaker score first; if still tied, the consolation prize is split equally
Unlike points-based competitions, one wrong prediction means you don't win the jackpot
All results are based on normal time only. Extra time and penalty shootouts do not count

Cancelled/Postponed Matches

If matches are cancelled, events are replaced with backup events.
If backup events are exhausted, and not enough to fill all cancelled matches, the jackpot cannot be won, but consolation goal remains if enabled.
For full cancellation policy, see Terms & Conditions
