Club lotto questions
Does our club need a permit to run a lotto online?
Yes. A club lotto in Ireland needs a lottery permit from your local Garda Superintendent or a licence from the District Court, online or on paper. We check your permit before your lotto goes live, and our guide walks you through applying.
What does it cost?
Nothing to set up and no monthly fee. We take 6.6% plus 30c from each payment, and that includes the card processing fee. Supporters pay the line price and nothing on top.
How do supporters play?
They open your club's lotto on their phone, pick their numbers or take a quick pick, and pay by card. They can buy one draw, pay for a run of weeks upfront, or stay in every draw and cancel anytime.
How is the draw done?
Your way. Type in the numbers from your own draw night, or use the built-in random draw. Results go by email to everyone who played online.
What happens if nobody wins the jackpot?
It rolls over to the next draw. You can also add a match-3 prize, and a bonus draw that runs when the jackpot isn't won.
Where does the money go?
Into your club's own Stripe account, not ours, and out to your club's bank account automatically. Your club pays the winners, as with any club lotto.
